Everyone Deserves a Mulligan

On the course. And off it.

I've played golf my whole life — from STPGA junior tournaments to lazy weekend rounds with my dad, any chance we got. I was never the guy breaking 80. I played for the love of it, for the laughs, and for the time with the people I care about.

And every single round my dad and I ever played, we hit a mulligan off the first tee. Didn't matter if we'd warmed up on the range. Didn't matter if you striped the first one dead center. We always took the second shot. "We get two off the first." It became our tradition — and to this day, whether I'm playing with friends or total strangers, I still call it on the first tee.

Somewhere along the way, I realized my game came with a little more personality than most — and I went looking for a hat to match it. The problem? Every hat with any character to it was junk. It'd barely last a few rounds. And down here in the South, where the heat and humidity are no joke, you need a hat that can actually take the sweat and keep you cool. So I set out to build one: a hat with real personality that could still survive a Southern summer.

But the more I thought about it, the more I realized the brand was missing something. Meaning. I've always loved volunteering and giving back to people who need it, and it hit me — that's what this brand should stand for. Second chances. Just like the mulligan.

Because golf is the perfect analogy for life. It's already hard enough. You move hole to hole through every kind of challenge, and sometimes you make mistakes — you shank a tee shot in the middle of a great round, you chunk an 80-yard wedge after a monster drive, you duff an easy chip. Those moments get in your head, and they can wreck your whole round. But a mulligan? A mulligan can be the thing that gets you back on track.

Life works the same way. People make mistakes. They shouldn't have to pay for them forever. That's the heart of Mullys 4 Days: to make a real impact in people's lives and give them the mulligan they need to get their round — and their life — back on track.
